Computer Operating Systems |

This course covers the basic purposes and command structure of the
personal computer operating system. Using Windows 2000, the student will
explore topics including: user interface; hardware management; file
system design and maintenance; and system control files. Other operating
systems, including Windows /Me/2000/XP/NT, UNIX, OS2, and Novell Netware
will be reviewed in comparison to Windows. |

In this course, an overview of a computer system is presented.
Structured design techniques are considered and applied to the
development of computer programs. The common aspects of programming
languages will be studied including basic data types, decisions making,
and looping. It also provides an introduction to functions, arrays, and
files. |
